In this session, we cover how Catholic Marriage generates love. How to avoid the ‘throw away culture’ mentality. How, in the sacrament of marriage, we can learn to give & receive love, not grasp, take & use. We lead an activity for the couple to evaluate how well their marriage will reflect God’s love. We go deep in understanding why our spouse (and ourselves) act as we do and how that is reflected in our daily communication. We lead another activity to help couples discover their unique ‘Marriage Mission’ based on Gifts of Holy Spirit, Works of Mercy, Beatitudes, Fruits and Virtues. We tie this into the ‘domestic church’ they’ll create in their homes. Every time we’ve presented this, couples come up to us afterwards and spontaneously share how the activities impacted their understanding of each other.
