Deb, I deal with Crohns still, despite good nutrition. My health is much better, but I’ve been afraid to even look at Herb-Lax myself because of the diarrhea I experience. I was amazed to read your post on rhubarb root–I had no idea! How did you start? How much Herb-Lax? And did it lead to more diarrhea at first? How long did it take to stabilize your gut? Hi Linda! I’m so glad you found my article. I’m sorry you suffer from Crohn’s Disease! It’s terrible. I’ve found that a combination of the right supplements, an anti-inflammatory diet and consistent stress response are all vital to keep Crohn’s in check. I started with a great Shaklee foundational nutrition system. Herb Lax is part of that system. I began by simply scraping some of the Herb Lax powder into my smoothie. I scraped a bit more each night over the course of a couple months. Soon, I was able to use an entire tablet. Then, over the course of a few more months, I added 1/4 tablet more each night till I only had 2-3 easy bowel movements a day. I maintained this number of Herb Lax for a few years till my body was clear of toxicity and my Crohn’s symptoms were negligible. Now, I use just 1 Herb Lax a night to maintain good bowel health.
